Yuba College Fund

The Campaign for yuba college

Yuba College is launching the largest fundraising campaign in its history to attract more students from our region to complete degrees and/or certificates as the basis for improving the local workforce and economic outlook for the region.

The campaign has a basic goal of $1.6 million, a desired goal of $2.6 million, and the aspirational goal of $3.6 million to improve the campus’ athletic facilities, as well as strengthen the Student Emergency Fund, and increase Scholarship for local students.

We are currently investing more than $13 million to modernize our academic and student support facilities.  We must now invest in improving the athletics and related programs that serve as a major enrollment and community support magnet for the College overall.

Community members will be invited to make multi-year commitments and each of you are similarly invited to consider the same to help the college reach the goal. Payroll deductions is an easy avenue for employees to make a gift. Whether it is a multi-year pledge, a monthly payroll deduction, or a one-time gift, all gifts are important, and all are greatly appreciated. Participation, as always, is fully voluntary.

Scholarship campaign supports student success

The Yuba College Scholarship Campaign raised funds to help students achieve their academic dreams. Students such as Harnek Singh, a recent Yuba College graduate. Here is his story:

"For a student right out of high school I was motivated to attend Yuba College. When I started college, I wanted to be a Computer Science major, but after taking a required public speaking class I realized that Computer Science may not be for me, and decided that I wanted to be a Communications major. I joined Speech Club and wrote for The Prospector, the Yuba College Newspaper, because I wanted to be collaborative, and joining clubs gave me a chance to give back to the college and made me feel better as a student.

Yuba College prepared me for my future. It allowed me to grow academically, socially and professionally. After completing two years at Yuba College, I transferred to Chico State University to continue in a communication studies bachelor’s degree program. Reflecting on my time at Yuba College it was the best decision I could have made because I made amazing friends and got an excellent education.

Since I left Yuba College I still have remained in touch with my professors and counselors by visiting and emailing them. i also joined the Yuba College Alumni & Friends Committee. While I attended Chico State, I did an internship for the Extended Opportunity Programs Services Department at Yuba College Campus, which I loved and gained valuable amount of hands-on professional experience in student services."
